Why Film?
Adding film to your photography can add a unique and artistic element to your images. Film photography has a distinct look and feel that is often difficult to replicate with digital cameras. The grain and color tones of film can create a sense of nostalgia and add character to your images. A style that will never go out of style. With film, one has to carefully consider each shot before taking it, since film has a limited number of exposures. This allows for a more mindful and deliberate addition to your photographs.
In the Summer of 2022, my grandfather gifted me his old film camera. The same camera that he had used to document my mother's life. This was so special to me as I was combining my family's treasure and my passion. The first roll of film that I got developed with his camera were images from my cousin's wedding, a very special moment for my family (you can see a few of those images above). Since then, I have been shooting film nonstop in my everyday personal life, growing in skill and love for the craft. Film truly is a beautiful way of capturing memories, and I can't wait to capture your special moments with a skill that has grown to mean so much to me.
